Clinical Negligence - Blackpool
If you feel that your doctor or the hospital has been negligent in your treatment or diagnosis please contact Neil Jones nrj@johnbudd.net who is the specialist in this area. You must bear in mind though that even though the treatment you have received has not been successful, it does not necessarily follow that there has been negligence.
The "Bolam" principle (after a case of the same name) provides that if a doctor acts in accordance with the opinion of a substantial minority of medical opinion, even though it turns out to be wrong, he or she may not be negligent. A little caution and circumspection is called for.
Often complaints can arise out of situations where extremely busy medical professionals have simply failed to communicate effectively with their patients. On the other hand there are regrettably instances where mistakes are made which should not have been made and in those cases we will work hard to ensure you recover a fair level of compensation.
